A producer/author of books “The films of Gene Kelly, John Wayne, etc.) came to Dallas. Heard about my music…asked me to write (on spec) a song called I’VE DONE A LITTLE DANCIN’ as he wanted to do TV show based on Kelly’s dance career.

I had friend in Cinti who owned dance studio–he was well known tap dancer–who shared the nick names of dance steps…so 1st chorus is his stage career…2nd, demonstrates steps…and 3rd, his film career.
But I easily wrote two more to go with the title song. I REALLY LOVE THE THEATER and WHEN THE CURTAIN GOES UP.
These would have been used. Curtain, was to be backstage setting, with dancers getting ready, him adjusting tie–and and the curtain goes up at beginning of show.
